Vice Ganda's The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin is the top Filipino film of 2011 (it's #2 overall, just behind Transformers 3). Meanwhile, Anne Curtis, Cristine Reyes and Derek Ramsay take the #2 spot with their hit movie No Other Woman (overall it even managed to beat The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I). Also, another interesting thing to note is that the Top 7 movies are all Star Cinema releases. Anyway, here are the top 20 local box office in the Philippines in 2011, according to Boxofficemojo.com.

The movie, which premiered only on the last week, was able to overcome the 3-week gross-to-date of Johnny English Reborn, which finished at #2. The Script breaks even vs. KC Concepcion!

Two first-timers in the Face-Off Poll, one winner.

The Script emerged as the victor at the most-recent poll on Chart Central (Philippines). In a face-off where every single vote mattered, the 3-piece Irish band defeated Filipino KC Concepcion.

These two artists were pitted against each other as they have released songs both entitled "For the First Time." While The Script's song was an original, KC's song is actually her cover of a Kenny Loggins original, and was used as the theme for her movie of the same name with Richard Gutierrez.

In 2008, The Script's "The Man Who Can't Be Moved" reached #1 on various Philippine music charts. Their sophomore album Science & Faith is now out which includes the FOP-winning song.

KC Concepcion - For the First Time 48.98%

The Script was also able to top the Irish Singles Chart "For the First Time" and because of that, they deserve their spot here at h.o.t. on top!

Girls' Generation fans have done it again: They have put their favorite girl group at the top.

This time, the so-called Power of 9 has emerged as the most favorite Asian Pop Group on an online poll recently conducted Chart Central (Philippines).

Closely at 2nd spot are the boys of Super Junior, while fellow K-Pop act U-Kiss completes the Top 3.

Katy Perry's Teenage Dream dominates Face-Off Poll

The dreams of Nelly and We the Kings have faded away, but Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" endures and lives on.

Chart Central (Philippines) visitors have been surveyed last month in a Face-Off Poll dubbed as Wake Me Up When September Ends. Three "dream" songs of 2010 were pitted against each other. Nelly came out with the shortest end of the stick, while the collaboration of We the Kings and Demi Lovato only finished at second place. Here are the results:

Teenage Dream - Katy Perry: 123 votes (62.76%)
We'll Be a Dream - We the Kings feat. Demi Lovato: 63 votes (32.14%)
Just a Dream - Nelly: 10 votes (5.1%)

With a new #1 album that has so far scored two #1 singles ("California Gurls" and the title track) and three Gold certifications, Katy Perry is h.o.t. on top!

David Archuleta: Staying Up with the Other Side of Down

David Archuleta's lead single off his new album The Other Side of Down is having an almost uncontested domination, thanks to his legions of fans. "Something 'Bout Love" has been the topmost-voted entry for 11 weeks now at Chart Central (Philippines), making it hold the #1 position on its Voters Hitlist XL chart.

When SS501's "Love Ya" stole the throne for one week, his fans went on to retaliate and Archie was able to reclaim the top spot, where he is currently having a 6-week streak. With the entry of "Elevator" on the latest chart, will he be able to continue his reign, or will some other rise up to the occasion? We will soon find out.

But at the moment, David Archuleta is certainly certified h.o.t. on top!
